Finding the perfect gift isn’t always easy, but with these helpful tips, you’ll be able to spot the ideal present for each of the most important people in your life.
1) Think Packaging

Sometimes, it’s the packaging itself that becomes the gift. A great brownie recipe can be included with a pretty mixing bowl and rubber spatula. A gorgeous basket with a set of dish towels could be the perfect accessory to your grandmother’s blueberry muffins or a lovely stocking could be the prettiest gift bag for a box of fine chocolates.
2) Gift Little Luxuries
Look around for those perfect little somethings that your friend or colleague would probably never buy for themselves because it simply feels too indulgent. Handmade chocolates, a stack of pretty notebooks or even a really beautiful throw blanket can all be great presents.
3) Give an Invitation
Think about ways that a gift can be a little bit more than a gift. A pair of pretty champagne glasses can be an invitation to come share a drink. A bag of gourmet coffee and two mugs can be made so much warmer when they come with an invitation to share that very coffee and eat something sweet.
4) Consider the Recipient
So many gifts can feel generic. Really think about the recipient and how you can make something that they like even more special. A home chef might love a pretty marble cheeseboard. Especially if the cheeseboard came with a bottle of great wine! A movie junkie might love a pretty basket filled with movie night treats.
5) Think Little Ones
Sometimes the best gift you can give a parent is something to keep their little ones occupied during these busy holiday weeks. A wooden train set, an arts and crafts set or a sweet new doll all go a long way in keeping parents sane and feeling the holiday spirit!
I hope these ideas have inspired you to go out and buy or create the perfect gift for your loved ones.
