These are just a few headlines you may have read within the past week on Omaha.com that are examples of the positive stories we want to feature more of. Starting today, the World-Herald is launching:
The new online destination will feature the good and positive stories in our communities that may otherwise go untold. Your submission can include anything from a photo to a short story about someone who did something special for others. All you have to do is send us the ideas.
Good News will have new features, including reader-submitted photo galleries and recognition for outstanding students. Planning a trip? Grab a copy of The World-Herald and take a picture of yourself with the paper at your destination for our Travel Snaps section. Our Feel Good Friday stories, photos and videos are the perfect way to kick off your weekend.
Is your student doing amazing things in the classroom? Our “Chalkboard” roundup will offer a look at the positive things going on in our schools, including stories and photo galleries of school-related activities and academic recognitions.
You’ll continue to find the content (formerly labeled Community Connection) in your Saturday paper, but now you’ll also find an assortment everyday online at Don’t forget to consult to find community events — and use it to submit information to promote your events.
Good News is about you and the positive things you see and do. So let us know what’s good in your world.
